President - Deane Motis
Deane's involvement with NACC began in 2015 with his appointment as Director of Sales, North America for Hurtigruten USA. He brings a great deal of experience to NACC due to his long time involvement in the North American travel market.  In addition to his tenure with Hurtigruten, Deane has held various management positions with Holland America Line & Princess. He has also served as the president and vice president of the Norwegian Commercial Club. Now semi-retired, he enjoys his relationship with the various Norwegian business groups and providing consulting expertise with Denver Air Connection as well as companies headquartered in the Pacific Northwest.

 

Secretary - Nicole Brekkaa

I always say that I am a U.S. citizen, but 100% Norwegian. I think it’s important to keep the relationship going between our countries,” says Nicole Brekkaa, 29. Nicole’s parents came to the United States in the ’70s from the Haugesund area on the west coast of Norway, but she was born here in Seattle.

 

“Norwegian heritage is my identity. In the United States, identity is a melting pot and people get a little lost. I am proud to be different. When I went to school some kids would laugh at my brunost and other things. But I was stubborn and kept at it.” She was brought up celebrating Christmas Eve and Syttende Mai, listening to fairy tales about trolls, and eating pinnekjøtt.

Now she works as a teacher, and has also been very active in the Norwegian-American community in Seattle“ It’s been important to me to be a part of different groups like the 17th of May committee, Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce, and Karmøy club, to keep the connection alive among us who live in the greater Seattle area.”

    

Board Member - Monica Langfeldt
Monica was born and raised in Oslo, Norway and came to the United States on a track & field scholarship. After graduating with a B.S. in Finance & Economics, she pursued a law degree on the East Coast. She practiced law for several years in NYC before returning to Seattle. Upon her return, she continued to practice law at several of the larger law firms in Seattle, before she started her own firm, Langfeldt Law, PLLC in 2013. Her firm specializes in business, non-profit and tax law, with a special emphasis on international tax issues. When not in her office, she can often be found running around Lake Union in the wee hours or hiking up and down the magnificent mountains in the Northwest with her two dogs and one husband.

Board Member - Viggo Forde
Viggo Forde is a long time resident of the Seattle area currently residing in Everett.  He is a board member and past president of NACC from 2011-14.  His professional career has been spent across local companies such as Boeing, Amazon and Microsoft.  He is currently the CIO and Director of Information technology for Snohomish County where he oversees the IT infrastructure for the county as well as a number of other entities and cities within Snohomish County.  He is married to Aileen and they have three grown sons and a Norwegian Buhund in their house.

Board Member  - Victoria Hunter
Victoria's involvement with NACC goes back more than 15 years.  During this time she has held a variety of positions within the organization including president of the Seattle Chapter.  She is an active member of the board of the Norwegian Commercial Club, a member of Norwegian Ladies Chorus and a member of the Leif Erikson Lodge of the Sons of Norway and the National Nordic Museum.  Currently, Victoria is the Senior Executive Assistant - Sales & Marketing Meetings and Events Manager for Nanostring Technologies.

Board Member - Bill Krippaehe

Bill Krippaehne brings a wealth of professional experience to the Pacific Northwest Chapter. Bill is the founder and president of Pacific Inter-Mountain Distribution, the former President & CEO of Darigold Inc. and sits on the board of Safeco Insurance, Darigold Inc. and is the former chairman of the Washington Business Roundtable.  His experience with Norway includes the position of Past Chairman of the Norwegian Foundation & Ambassador Circle Member, Managing Director of the Norgate Online AS and is a past president of NACC.
